I had the opportunity to collaborate with the LEGENDARY snack brand Cheez-It.
From having them in my lunch box as a youngin, to creating a viral project together. Truly a full circle moment.

On a rainy Monday in 2023 I was reached out to by Chelsea Merrill (a brand manager at Cheez-It). I was flattered by the opportunity but knew I has to come correct with an idea for it see the light of day.

As I was brainstorming…I kept thinking back to my childhood lunch, A PB&J, a banana, a kudos bar and a ziploc bag filled with Cheez-It’s.
That ziploc bag of Cheez-it was the piece de resistance of my lunch, and most of the time eaten at snack time.

Normally, I would pitch back various options but I knew this one would hit. The relatability of snacking from a ziplock,
but putting it on a shoe? In my head it was gold.

Over the next week or so I recorded myself ideating, testing, crafting, and photographing this shoe.

Once Posted I had NO idea it would become as popular as it did.

Across all ORGANIC social channels the Cheez-It has over 20,000,000 views, 600,000 shares, 400,000 likes, 11,000 Comments.

 

It was featured on several local news channels as well as the TODAY show on NBC.

 

It also garnered reposts from various celebrities such as Olivia Wilde, Amelia Gray, Quest love, Amanda Batula and Mike Majlak.
