In October 2020 Converse continues an ongoing partnership with Feng Chen Wang who is a Chinese-born, London-based designer at the forefront of a new generation of fashion talent emerging from China. Describing her aesthetic as “future-modern, authentic and multidimensional”, Feng focuses on technical deconstruction, creating unisex clothing that is functional but at the same time conceptual and personal, drawing on her life experiences and Chinese heritage. Feng’s signature layered approach comes to life with an organic canvas overlay, “double” foxing and exaggerated outsole that’s split into four pieces.
My role in this project as a digital designer is to deliver this “authentic and multidimensional” story telling on the Converse.com website. Combining both the Converse mission with Feng’s story.
